[Also in Division H2] A laminated bus-bar assembly (Fig. 1) comprises four conductive strips 10 co-planar with insulating strips 11, 14 and sandwiched between a pair of insulating sheets 12, 13. Contacts 15, 16, fixed to the strips 10, project through holes in the sheet 13; the contacts 16 having screw threaded bores to which links, for connecting adjacent assemblies, are bolted. A sheet metal enclosure (Fig. 3a, not shown) may be provided for the connected assemblies. A fuse distribution board (Figs. 6, 7) comprises five layers, viz. a first insulating sheet (21, Fig. 5, not shown) ; a layer comprising four conductive strips 22 to 25 co-planar with insulating strips 26 to 31; a second insulating sheet (32); a layer comprising insulation coplanar with five groups of conductive strips 33 to 35 extending perpendicularly to the strips 22 to 25; and a third insulating sheet (36). The line conductors of a three-phase supply cable (not shown) are connected to contact blades 37 brazed or soldered to the conductive strips 22, 23, 24. Similarly contacts 42 are connected to the conductive strips 22 to 24 and contacts 43, 44 to strips 33 to 35. The strip 22 is connected at five positions along its length to the strips 33 via fuses connected across pairs of contacts 42, 43; similar connections being made between strips 23 and 34 and strips 24 and 35, respectively. Outgoing connections are made to the contacts 44; both ingoing and outgoing earth connections being made direct to contacts on the strip 25. The contacts 45 may be electrically connected by links to an adjacent bus-bar assembly. The contacts 42 to 45 project through holes in the laminate and connections are made on the free surface of the first insulating sheet (21). Fused switches on circuit breakers may replace the fuses.
