    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating sewage turned back water by which BOD, nitrogen, phosphorus, etc., contained in the turned back water are efficiently removed in a compact treatment facility. SOLUTION: This method for treating turned back water 19 includes a sludge treatment process including a concentrating process 4 for concentrating sludge containing excess sludge 15 generated in a sewage treatment site and an initially precipitated sludge 13, a digesting process 2', and a dewatering process 5 and the resultant treated water is turned back after the sludge treatment process. A flocculating agent is added to the turned back water 19 to carry out flocculation treatment by a high speed granulating and precipitating treatment apparatus 7 equipped with a concentrating tank and SS and phosphorus in the turned back water are removed and then remaining BOD and nitrogen are removed by biological membrane filtration treatment 8, 9. The sludges generated in sewage treatment sites may be the sludges gathered from a plurality of sewage treatment sites and the biological membrane filtration treatment 8, 9 may be denitrification 8 and nitrification 9 treatment using a floating type filtration material and the treatment may be carried out in tanks arranged separately in series.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for waste water capable of efficiently and biologically treating ammoniacal nitrogen, organic nitrogen and hardly decomposable COD components. SOLUTION: In the method for treating the hardly decomposable COD components by biologically treating the waste water contg. BOD, COD, ammoniacal nitrogen and organic nitrogen, a first biological treatment vessel 1b under anaerobic conditions, a second biological treatment vessel 2a under aerobic conditions, the last biological treatment vessel 2b under the anaerobic conditions and the last biological treatment vessel 4a under the aerobic conditions are successively disposed. The waste water 5 is respectively dividedly introduced into the biological treatment vessels 1b, 3b under the anaerobic conditions. The treated water of the second biological treatment vessel 2a is partly circulated 7 to the first biological treatment vessel 1b and the waste water 5 is biologically treated while the waste water is successively passed through the respective treatment vessels. The first biological treatment vessels under the anaerobic condition described above and the second biological treatment vessels under the aerobic condition may be disposed in a plurality in multiple stages. The biological treatment vessels are preferably the treatment vessels provided with organism-fixed beds.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovational technique utilizing a new principle of floating a substance to be removed in raw water of every kind such as sewage, factory wastewater, river water, water of lakes and marshes and the like at an extremely high speed to separate the same.
SOLUTION: In this high speed floatation separation method, raw water, to which buoyant particles and a flocculant are added, is supplied to a flocculation/adhesion tank and flocs formed by stirring are stuck to the buoyant particles. Subsequently, an aqueous suspension containing floc-sticking buoyant particles is supplied to the lowermost part of a floatation tank, which is vertically provided with a plurality of floatation parts through an inclined plate, to allow the buoyant particles to buoy in the floatation tank. Next, treated water is taken out of the lower parts of the floatation parts of stages and the floc-sticking buoyant particles are drawn out of the uppermost part of the floatation tank. After SS is separated from the buoyant particles, peeled SS is excluded to the outside of the system while the peeled buoyant particles are returned to the flocculation/adhesion tank.
