    • For a contact means for conductor foils which comprise at least one conductor path (14), an especially reliable contact for a long period of time shall be guaranteed.     • A multipolar plug connector assembly includes a plug connector and a plug for a given number of signal lines conducting digitized electronic signals. The plug connector has a housing in the form of a conductive shielding enclosure. At least the given number of contact springs with associated conductors is disposed in the housing. The plug connector cooperates with the plug for making contact and for lifting the contact springs from a position of rest into an operating position, when the plug connector and the plug are plugged together. A filter configuration, in the form of a low-pass filter or band pass filter, is disposed in the plug housing and has contact surfaces. The contact surfaces cooperate with the contact springs and are electrically connected with the conductors, when bringing the contact springs into the operating position by inserting the plug into the plug connector.

    • An improved electrical connector including dual contacts comprising an insulating support, an arcuately stressed spring having each end confined within the support, and a flexible printed circuit stretched over the spring is provided. The contact function is accomplished by the flexible circuit. The spring is adapted to deflect and resiliently flex at its midpoint during engagement with a mating contact at which time the spring surfaces on both sides of their midpoints resiliently press the flexible circuit against the mating contact. The resilient flexure of the spring provides redundant pressure points between the flexible printed circuit and the mating contact and eliminates the need for a spring having both the sufficient resilience and the necessary conductive properties.

    • A planar filter, in particular for multiple-pole plug connectors (plugs or counterpart plugs) disposed in a housing making a ground connection, for signal lines carrying electronic signals, includes a substrate and a number of closely spaced capacitors corresponding to the number of signal lines and being disposed on the substrate. The capacitors are formed of one common ground electrode being substantially continuous at least in the peripheral region of the substrate, individual signal electrodes each being provided for one of the signal lines and being insulated from the others, and a dielectric layer between them. The substrate has openings formed therein each for one of the signal lines. The signal electrodes each extend to or into one of the openings and are connected there to one of the signal lines. Each of the capacitors is formed of a series circuit of two substantially equal-size individual capacitors forming a capacitor pair. Intermediate electrodes are applied onto the dielectric covering of the signal electrodes and to the ground electrode for forming the two series-connected capacitors, they cover both of them over approximately equal-sized area regions, and they cover the ground electrode and the associated signal electrodes with portions of approximately equal area.

    • The invention relates to a high-density, high-voltage-proof, multi-contact connector assembly. In order to overcome the problem of surface leakage currents or electrical discharges due to high voltage, the structure of terminals of the connector assembly has been changed in such a way as to provide male terminals with insulating ferrules, so that there will no longer be any gap for electric surface currents where two thermoplastic parts of the insulating body of a connector are pressed one part against the other. According to another embodiment, this problem is solved by forming an insulating body of the connector in one piece and inserting the terminals into openings being smaller than the diameter of the terminals, so that the undersized part of the opening is located in the depth of the opening and the creep distances are enlarged. Additionally, the terminals are provided with cutting barbs which, upon a rotation within the opening in the thermoplastic part, cut into the material and securely lock the terminals in place.
