    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring material selection support system for determining kinds of base inks for reproducing a color of blend ink to be blended correspondingly to a base material to be colored by a designer at a degree that is not inferior to a result of color control by the designer, and a blending ratio of the inks, and a method thereof.SOLUTION: The coloring material selection support system comprises a reproducible color gamut database and a control section. In the reproducible color gamut database, a blend ink obtained by blending a plurality of base inks, kinds of the base inks for preparing the blend ink, a blending ratio for each kind of the base inks, attribute data and a reproduction chrominance value of a reproduced color in coloring a base material are correspondingly written and stored beforehand. The control section selects the blend ink to be the reproduction chrominance value in the case where the base material is colored, from the reproducible color gamut database.
