    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fence block capable of securing sufficient strength, having reduced weight allowing human powered transportation and construction, with a tasteful design.SOLUTION: A fence block comprises a concrete wallboard part with an opening passing through the other side, a plurality of pairs of recessed parts opposed to each other on an inner peripheral surface of the opening, and a sash bar that is detachably installed at the opening with both ends inserted in the paired recessed parts respectively. Sufficient strength can be secured since the wallboard part is made of concrete, and weight reduction of the block results from the opening. A various types of sash bars such as a thinned wood can be used to construct a fence with a tasteful design. Since the sash bar is detachably installed, enhanced ventilation may be achieved by removal of the bar, or taste of the fence is easily changed by replacement of the bar.
