The matching between the first element pattern 21 and a horizontal direction of a vehicle body can be ensured independently of whether the corner angle is large or small by adhering the first and second films 22, 32 separately to a front window 12, the matching between the second element pattern 31 and a vertical direction of the vehicle body can be ensured, and the workability when the films 22, 32 are adhered can be enhanced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a communication device to be mounted on a vehicle soas to be less likely to be affected by a dip point.
      SOLUTION: In a vehicle-to-vehicle communication device, by antenna switching processing, a relative distance d to the communication destination is monitored (S150); and when the relative distance d is equal to or greater than a distance threshold value D (S160: NO), which is set to a value greater than a distance at which dip points occur, an antenna switching part is made to select a vertically-polarized wave antenna (S200) and when less than the distance threshold value D (S160: YES), the antenna switching part is made to select a horizontally-polarized wave antenna (S190). That is, within a distance at which a dip point occurs (relative distance d), horizontally-polarized radio waves are used, in order to avoid the influence of the dip point and at a distance equal to or greater than the threshold D, set to a value greater than the distance at which the dip point occurs, vertically-polarized radio waves are used to enlarge the range of the radio wave. Accordingly, it is possible to make such a vehicle-to-vehicle communication device that is less likely to affected by dip points.

      SOLUTION: The film 3 of the onboard film antenna is constituted of a material whose pasting surface 3a is pasted near the corner of a windshield 7 and has self-adhesion and re-detachability against the rear side of a periodic inspection seal 10 and the windshield. Since the film is pasted near the corner of the windshield 7, radiowaves are stably received regardless of orientation of a vehicle or direction of radio waves. Further, re-detachability allows the film 3 to be peeled from the windshield 7 with no excessive power required and smooth touching against the periodic inspection seal 10. The self-adhesion allows re-use of it.
