    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter, in which an internal gear of a planetary gear reduction gear is provided with a shock absorbing device maintaining a proper sliding start torque value by preventing catching of a disc spring giving a pressing force restricting the rotation.
      SOLUTION: A rotating disc 50 used for the shock absorbing device is disposed integrally with the internal gear 26 of a reduction gear. When a shock is applied to the reduction gear, the sliding start torque value allowing the rotation of the internal gear 26 is determined by the rotating disc 50 and an elastic force of the disc spring 52 pressing a lamination body of a fixed disc 49 brought into friction contact with the rotating disc 50. A radial position of the disc spring 52 is restricted by a projection part formed to a washer 53 disposed adjacent to the disc spring 52. An outer peripheral part of the disc spring 52 is not caught to a male screw part 48c formed to an inner periphery of a case. A proper sliding start torque value of the internal gear 26 is maintained thereby.

      SOLUTION: An open part of a housing 17 has a guide opening 17a which guides a center case to a cylinder opening 17b. Since the inside diameter of the guide opening 17a is greater than the inside diameter of the cylinder opening 17b including a recess 17c, the center case can be easily stored inside the cylinder opening 17b. If a relative rotation occurs between the center case and an internal gear, an impact absorption mechanism stops the relative rotation by a first movable protrusion of a resin molded member coming into contact with a second fixed protrusion of the center case. This restricts the compression of the elastic body to avoid the entire compression of the elastic body, thereby preventing early fatigue and damage of the elastic body.

The turn part 12b includes a convex-shaped portion 12a which is partially bent in a convex shape in the width direction of the wire 12 and in the direction protruding from the end surface of the stator core and in which a part bent in the concave shape on the side opposite to the width direction is formed by being recessed in the protruding direction from the other turn part 12b. Generated heat is facilitated to be released through the recessed part, thereby capable of suitably maintaining performance of the stator.

This auxiliary switch 10 is fixed to an end frame 13 via an installation member 30, and the axial direction of the auxiliary switch 10 is arranged in the same direction as the axial direction of the electromagnetic switch 8, and is arranged so that the whole auxiliary switch 10 is stored in a range of projecting the electromagnetic switch 8 in the axial direction.
