摘要： A cross-point shaped screwdriver has a cylindrical metal shaft with an axis coaxial with an insertion direction for driving a screw having a socket. A bit section, formed on the end of the shaft, has four blades. A circumferential groove is formed in the exterior of each of the blades. The grooves are in a single plane extending across a width of each plane. When the screwdriver engages the screw socket, the grooves substantially align with a top portion of the socket. The grooves provide a clearance between the bit section and upper end of the socket top, thereby reducing wear on the screw socket and permit the driver to engage and drive the screw at a depth that the standard driver can not engage and drive upon. Often the screw is rounded out by a standard driver.

The wrench handle has a cross beam shaped primary handle over which an extension may be slid to various positions for increasing or decreasing torque. The wrench head is an open end wrench that has upper and lower jaws that are joined by a web. A neck is joined to the web and has a drive hole which extends through the neck. The drive hole is defined by sidewalls which are convex arcuate surfaces.

摘要： A wrench socket assembly has outer and inner sleeves. Each sleeve has a socket drive cavity at each end. The four socket cavities are of different sizes for driving different sizes of fasteners. The outer sleeve has a central section between its socket cavities that slidably receives the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve and the outer sleeve have a torque transmitting feature to allow the inner sleeve to transmit torque through the central section to the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve has a drive section centrally located between its socket cavities. A conventional extension bar from a socket wrench will engage the central drive section located within the inner sleeve.

摘要： An adjustable wrench for driving a nut utilizes curved drive faces. The wrench is made up of three members. A first member has a jaw section, a mid section and a handle section. A second member has a jaw section and an attachment section for attaching to the first member in the mid section and adjusting the spacing of the jaws. A third member fits within the first member and attaches the first member to the second member in an adjustable manner in the mid section of the first member. The jaws of the first and second members have convex curved surfaces having forward and rearward drive faces. These convex curved surfaces form gripping members which drive the nut or bolt on the planes and not on the corners.
