摘要： A combined fluid injection and inflation system is disclosed and includes a fluid delivery system including at least one pressurizing device, a fluid path, and a control unit. The fluid path is adapted to connect the pressurizing device to a patient via a catheter including a balloon and inserted in the patient. The control unit is operable to control the fluid delivery system. In operation, the control unit selectively actuates the fluid delivery system to operate in a fluid injection mode or in a balloon inflation mode. In the fluid injection mode the pressurizing device delivers fluid to the fluid path for a fluid injection procedure. In the balloon inflation mode, the pressurizing device delivers fluid to the fluid path for inflating the balloon associated with the catheter. An operator control may be connected to the control unit for controlling the fluid delivery system and may be a handheld device.

摘要： A system for injecting an injectate into patient includes a first pressurizable container for holding the injectate; a patient interface in fluid connection with the first pressurizable container, the patient interface being adapted to pass the injectate into tissue of the patient; a powered injector in operative connection with the first pressurizable container to pressurize the injectate; a controller system in operative connection with powered injector; and a stereotactic localization frame adapted to be placed in operative connection with the patient interface to assist in controlling localization of the patient interface. A system for processing cells (and/or other injectate components) includes a container and a plunger adapted to be slidably positioned within the container. The system includes at least one inlet port through which a fluid can enter the system and at least one effluent port through which an effluent can exit the system. The plunger section forms a sealing engagement with the inner wall of the container such that rearward motion of the plunger is adapted to draw fluid into the system via the inlet and forward motion of the plunger is adapted to force effluent out of the system via the effluent port.

In an embodiment, the signal is affected by a condition of the contrast or enhancement medium in the patient. To control the procedures, the control unit adjusts the condition of the contrast or enhancement medium in the patient based upon the signal. A communication interface preferably enables information between an injector subsystem and an imaging subsystem.

The tubing set further preferably includes a first valve that is removably connected to the length of tubing on a first end thereof. The second valve is preferably in a closed state until connected to another fluid path component. The tubing set is preferably suitable for use in an MR environment. A method of replacing at least a first infusion pump in connection with a patient with at least a second infusion pump includes the steps: closing a length of patient tubing connected to a patient to prevent backflow of blood therethrough, the patient tubing being in fluid communication at a first end thereof with a length of administration tubing, the administration tubing being in operative connection with the first infusion pump and being in fluid connection with a source of fluid, the patient tubing being in fluid connection with a patient catheter at a second end thereof; disconnecting the patient tubing from the administration tubing; connecting an intermediate length of tubing to the administration tubing, the intermediate tubing including at least a section thereof that is fabricated to function with the second infusion pump; placing the second infusion pump in operative connection with the intermediate tubing; removing the first infusion pump from operative connection with the administration tubing; and connecting the intermediate tubing to the patient tubing.

摘要： A fluid delivery system includes a first pressurizing device, a second pressurizing device, a reusable fluid path for delivering fluid to multiple patients and a per-patient disposable fluid path adapted to be connected to the reusable fluid path and operable to deliver fluid media to a balloon catheter in a patient. The reusable fluid path includes a first portion in fluid communication with a first source of fluid medium and a second portion in fluid communication with a second source of fluid medium. The first pressurizing device is associated with the first portion of the reusable fluid path and the second pressurizing device is associated with the second portion of the reusable fluid path. A control unit in communication with the first and second pressurizing devices is adapted to actuate the first and second pressurizing devices to deliver one or both of the fluid media to a balloon on the balloon catheter.
