    • The method and apparatus according to the present invention teaches a way to employ a pair of inexpensive switch IC's by improving isolation using a tuned diode shunt on the potential leakage path that exists between the two inputs when the IRD is in the legacy LNB Mode. In particular, the present invention teaches a method and apparatus of providing a signal path between a first input and a second signal processor. The second signal processor can further be coupled to a second input. When the second processor is coupled to the second input, the signal path is decoupled from the second processor and coupled to ground using a pin diode.

    • Many advanced signal receiving devices include more than one tuner. An apparatus is described that includes a first circuit operating as a first portion of a signal attenuator, a second circuit operating as a second portion of the signal attenuator and outputting a first differential output signal, and a third circuit also operating as the second portion of the signal attenuator and outputting a second differential output signal.
