    • A relatively low cost twist drill sharpener apparatus employable with a rotary grinding wheel has a twist drill alignment fixture which positions the drill with respect to the drill holding chuck. The twist drill holding chuck has mounted thereto one or a pair of cam elements which cooperate with a sharpener fixture which is adjustable for height, pivotal motion and backward and forward motion relative to the rotary grinding wheel. The fixture has mounted thereto a second cam and is adapted to receive the twist drill chuck and control the grinding of the twist drill when the chuck is pressed toward the face of the grinding wheel and rotated clockwise. The fixture and the chuck are also adapted to receive a wheel dressing element.

    • An improved filter pad assembly, for supporting a filter pad, used in conjunction with a filter system having a pumping unit to filter a contaminated fluid. Included in the filter pad assembly are a filter pad support member, a sealing member, and securing means for maintaining the filter pad support member and sealing member in a closed operative position during the filtering process such that a substantially fluid-tight seal is created therebetween. Thus, the contaminated fluid is prevented from exiting the filter pad assembly without passing through the filter pad. The filter pad assembly may be defined to include, or not include, the filter pad. The filter pad assembly and filter pad also have a one-way guided configuration that ensures the filter pad is properly oriented within the assembly. Three preferred embodiments of the filter pad assembly of the present invention are disclosed.

    • An ink composition suitable for printing machine readable indicia on a substrate with an ink jet printing device is disclosed. The disclosed ink composition comprises water, a water soluble resin, a red fluorescent colorant material mixture comprising C.I. Basic yellow 40 dye, C.I. Basic Red 1 dye, and C.I. Basic Violet 11:1 dye, and a blue colorant material comprising C.I. Acid Blue 9. In the preferred embodiments of the ink composition, the dyes in the red fluorescent colorant material mixture are present in a weight ratio of approximately 1.12 to 1.36 to 1, respectively, and the weight ratio of the red fluorescent colorant material mixture to the blue colorant material is in the range of about 3.8 to 1 to about 46 to 1.

    • An improved filter pad holder for supporting a filter pad and for use in conjunction with a filter system having a pumping unit to filter a contaminated fluid. The filter pad holder (10) includes a base frame (20) and an upper housing (22) hingedly coupled by a pair of spaced-apart hinges (24) to form a chamber (53) when pivoted to a closed operative position. When held in this closed operative position by a pair of spaced-apart latches (26), a pair of tapered ribs (32 and 34) extending upwardly about the periphery of the base frame compress the filter pad (28) against the upper housing to create a substantially fluid-tight seal. Consequently, when the filter pad holder is coupled to the pumping unit, the contaminated fluid is prevented from exiting the chamber without passing through the filter pad. Rather, the contaminated fluid is drawn into the bottom of the chamber through an inlet opening (30) in the base frame, then through the filter pad, and then out the top the chamber through an outlet aperture (50) in the upper housing.
