摘要： A device and method for applying a wind force to a plurality of plants in an agricultural environment is provided to screen for selected wind-resistance traits in the plurality of plants. In one embodiment of the present invention, a device is provided including a generating device for creating a moving fluid stream to provide the wind force, a directing device, such as a duct and/or movable vane, for precisely and selectively directing the wind force towards a portion of at least one plant, and a controller for adjusting one or more parameters of the fluid stream. The device and/or method embodiments of the present invention may thus be used to selectively apply the wind force to one or more plants (or portions thereof) such that the plants may be evaluated with respect to one or more wind-resistant physical characteristics.

摘要： A portion of solid fuel is pyrolyzed in a pyrolyzer to produce combustible gases and carbonaceous material, the carbonaceous material being supplied from the pyrolyzer to a furnace. A further portion of the solid fuel is added to a furnace and is combusted with the carbonaceous material therein to produce combustion products that include hot flue gases and ash particulate. The combustion products are separated into a plurality of streams, one of which contains coarse ash and another of which contains flue gases and fine ash. A portion of the coarse ash is directed into the pyrolyzer while a further portion is disposed of, preferably by being used to heat air entering the furnace.

摘要： Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable storage media for video completion that may be applied to restore missing content, for example holes or border regions, in video sequences. A video completion technique applies a subspace constraint technique that finds and tracks feature points in the video, which are used to form a model of the camera motion and to predict locations of background scene points in frames where the background is occluded. Another frame where those points were visible is found, and that frame is warped using the predicted points. A content-preserving warp technique may be used. Image consistency constraints may be applied to modify the warp so that it fills the hole seamlessly. A compositing technique is applied to composite the warped image into the hole. This process may be repeated until the missing content is filled on all frames.
