    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve thermal insulation of tile and reduce the work required in its manufacture and installation in addition to the enhancement of waterproofing functions of the tile and roof structure.
      SOLUTION: Insulating tile 10 is installed in a manner connected together laterally and longitudinally on the roof backing surface 42 of a building. The main body 20 of each tile is made of a ceramic material and has a molded shape almost similar to a plate. Its sides have joints 24 to 27 overlapped on the upper or lower sides of other adjacent insulating tiles 10; and its upper side has a linking projection 21 protruded and located above the top surface of the joint 26 after laying the roof tile. A waterproofing and insulating portion 30 adhered and jointed to the whole rear surface of the main body 20 of the tile made of a molded body of a resin foam has a flat bottom surface 32 arranged along the roof backing surface 42; a joint 34 overlapped from the top to the bottom with the joint 26 of another insulating tile 10; and a linking dent 36 connected to a linking projection 21 of another insulating tile 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the damage to a laminated surface and the deterioration of a paint film with an extremely simple constitution.
      SOLUTION: This roof tile is provided with an abutting part 2 at the lower face of an eaves side tip part 1 to abut on the surface of an adjacently stacked roof tile to thereby impede the damage of the surface. The abutting part 2 has a smooth sheet 3 bonded to the surface. The smooth sheet 3 is formed by laminating and bonding a releasable sheet 5 on a cushion layer 4. The releasable sheet 5 is laminated on the cushion layer 4 placing a smooth surface 6 on the surface side of the smooth sheet 3. The smooth sheet 3 is bonded to the abutting part 2 placing the smooth surface 6 of the releasable sheet 5 on the surface side. This tile is prevented from damage by allowing the smooth surface 6 of the smooth sheet 3 to abut on the surface of the adjacently stacked roof tile.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly drain rainwater by providing a drainage ditch communicating with a recessed part and passing through up to an outer end face of a lower side edge part of a tile main body on the lower side edge part. SOLUTION: On an upper surface of a tile main body 1, a recessed part 2 which is surrounded by a side edge part in the surrounding and is rectangular over the substantially whole surface is provided. In the recessed part 2, a solar battery module 6 is stored. At a substantially center part of the recessed part 2, a terminal box storing recessed part 3 is provided. On a lower side edge part of the tile main body 1, a drainage ditch 4 which communicates with the recessed part 2 by leaving a part of both end parts of left and right directions and passes through up to an outer end face of the lower side edge part of the tile main body 1 is provided. A bottom surface of the drainage ditch 4 is made flush with a bottom surface of the recessed part 2 and rainwater infiltrated into the recessed part 2 is drained from the drainage ditch 4. As a result, rainwater is not infiltrated into the terminal box of the solar battery module 6 and electric short circuit, electric leakage and the like can be prevented.
