    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensitization nature evaluation method of easily and objectively evaluating the strength of a respirator sensitization nature at the time when chemical substances and natural substances directly reach a trachea or a lung.
      SOLUTION: The sensitization nature evaluation method is to relatively evaluate the strength of the respirator sensitization nature by quantifying the respirator sensitization symptoms, and after a known respirator sensitization substance and a test substance are directly administrated in a trachea of a small animal with different concentrations, the respirator sensitization symptoms induced in the trachea or the lung of the small animal are quantitively measured with at least a method chosen from the scoring of histological findings, measurement of allergic inflammation cell number, quantification of cytokine, and quantification of antibodies, and then the obtained measurement results are relatively compared between the test substance and the standard substance to determine the respirator sensitization nature of the test substance.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensitization nature evaluation method easily and quantitatively evaluating a respirator sensitization nature at the time when chemical substances, natural substances or others directly reach a trachea or a lung using small animals. SOLUTION: The sensitization nature evaluation method is characterized by that a living body section in the trachea or the lung is evaluated by directly administering a sample of 100 μl or less per one time into the trachea of the small animals of a body weight of 70 g or less. In the sensitization nature evaluation method, it is preferable to directly administering the sample inside of the trachea at the stage of sensitization and/or the stage of induction. Mouses may be used as the small animals. In the method of the invention, the mouth is opened using a mouth opening holding means capable of holding the mouth opening condition of the small animal, a sample administering means is inserted from the mouth of the small animal, and the sample is directly administered inside of the trachea through a pharyngeal portion.
