    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paint application apparatus for a road surface which makes an end of a line drawn on the road surface clear.SOLUTION: Release layers 180, 182 for promoting exfoliation of paint 22 for a road surface are provided on outer peripheral surfaces of cylindrical rotors 86, 88 of a paint discharge device 68, respectively, and thus exfoliation of the fluid paint 22 for the road surface from the outer peripheral surfaces of the pair of cylindrical rotors 86, 88 becomes easy. Accordingly, convergence of the paint 22 for the road surface discharged from a discharge port 66 of the paint discharge device 68 is enhanced and a radiation angle θ is decreased. Therefore, a rotation time or a rotation angle θ of a second backing plate 122 which blocks the flow of the paint for the road surface discharged from the paint discharge device 68 toward a road surface after completion of a line application can be decreased, and a terminal end of a line formed by the application of the paint 22 for the road surface onto the road surface becomes clear.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paint application apparatus for a road surface which makes an end of a line drawn on the road surface clear.
      SOLUTION: When paint 22 for the road surface is supplied to a paint discharge device 68, the paint 22 which is discharged in a relatively small flow amount immediately after the start of supply by an electronic control device (control device) 118 in the paint application apparatus 10 for the road surface is received by a first receiving plate 110. Subsequently, the first receiving plate 110 is shifted to an opening position, and thus, a starting end of the line drawn on the road surface 26 becomes clear. Additionally, when the supply of the paint 22 to the paint discharge device 68 is stopped, the paint 22 discharged after the stop of the supply of the paint is received by a second receiving plate 122 by the electronic control device 118 provided in the paint application apparatus 10. Consequently, a terminal end of the line drawn on the road surface 26 becomes clear.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for coating road marking lines by which glass beads can be scattered to the terminal end of a coated road marking line even if the slit bottom opening of a paint container is raised from the road surface. SOLUTION: Rear wheels 16 and a scattering device 34 for glass beads are connected to each other in an actuating relation in a state that a paint container 30 is retained in the intermediate position by a height-changing device 76 for the paint container, and the torque is transmitted to a glass beads scattering vedice. Hence, even when a road marking line reaches the terminal end, as the paint container is held in the intermediate position, and the terminal end shape of the road marking line is applied neatly and it is advanced farther from a carrier 18, the glass beads are scattered from the scattering aperture of the scattering device according to the movement of the carrier. When the scattering aperture reaches the end of the road marking line, the paint container is raised farther to a distant position and held there and hence, it can be transferred to the start position of the next coating work.
