摘要： A haircare appliance (10, Fig. 1) such as a hairdryer has a heater housing (14, Fig. 1) with a heater assembly (34, Fig. 1) disposed in it. A circuitry housing (12, Fig. 1) is remote from the heater housing and contains an electronic component (60, Fig. 1). An electrical cable (16, Fig. 1) containing a wire extends from the circuitry housing to the heater housing, connecting the electronic component to the heater assembly. An attachment member (102, Fig. 5) attaches the electrical cable to the circuitry housing. The attachment member has a main body (109, Fig. 5) having a bore (118, Fig. 5) within which the electrical cable is held. The attachment member has first and second arms (112,126, Fig. 5) extending from the main body, each engaging with an opposite side of the circuitry housing. The first arm may locate in a recess or aperture in the circuitry housing. The second arm may be secured to the circuitry housing with a fastener 144. The first arm may be curved. The circuitry housing may have a clip 138, 140 to hold the first arm. The circuitry housing may be in two portions that are held together by the attachment member.

The attachment member has first and second arms (112,126; Fig. 5) extending from the main body, each engaging with an opposite side of the circuitry housing. The first arm may be located in a recess or aperture in the circuitry housing and may be curved. The second arm may be secured to the circuitry housing with a fastener (144; Fig. 6). The circuitry housing may have a clip (138,140; Fig. 6) to hold the first arm.

摘要： A haircare appliance (20, fig.1) has a blower (41, fig 1) and outlets (113, fig.5) through which air is discharged. One or more moveable members 140, 150 are provided and are moveable between a first position where air is discharged from the outlets 113 in a clockwise direction and a second position where air is discharged from the outlets 113 in a counterclockwise direction. Preferably there are first outlets through which air is discharged in a clockwise direction and these are occluded when a member is moved into the second position to discharge air through second outlets in a counterclockwise direction. A dial (120, fig 5) may be used to move the moveable members between the two positions. Each outlet may comprise a slot that extends longitudinally. The moveable members may comprise an inner sleeve 140 and an outer sleeve 150. They may alternatively comprise a set of louvres (210, fig. 11b); segments (310, fig. 12); pairs of blades (421, 422, fig. 13) or columns (540, fig 14; 630, fig. 15). This arrangement may be provided in an attachment for an appliance.
