A nozzle forms an opening part through which the air outside the humidifying apparatus is drawn by the air that is emitted from the air outlet. The humidifying apparatus is configured to humidify second air flow that is emitted from a plurality of second air outlets. The second air flow is humidified by the water supplied from a water tank attached to the base. The water tank has a handle which can be shifted between a housing position and a deployed position and is urged toward the deployed position. The nozzle is configured to urge the handle toward its housing position.

The water stored in the reservoir is irradiated by ultraviolet radiation, and atomized by a transducer to humidify the air flow passing over the reservoir. A flow of water entering the reservoir is guided adjacent to, and preferably along the ultraviolet radiation generator.

The nozzle includes a first air inlet, a first air outlet, and a first interior passage for conveying air from the first air inlet to the first air outlet, and further includes a second air inlet, a plurality of second air outlets, and a second interior passage for conveying air from the second air inlet to the second air outlet. A bore is formed through which the air from the outside of the humidifying apparatus is drawn into the air emitted from the nozzle. A body includes a motor, an impeller unit, and a water reservoir for generating a first air flow that passes the first interior passage and a second air flow that passes the second interior passage. The first air passage conveys the first air flow to the first air inlet and the second air passage conveys the second air flow to the second sir inlet above the water in the reservoir. The water in the reservoir is agitated when the second air flow passes above the reservoir. An ultraviolet ray generator radiates the agitated water for a certain period before humidity of the second air flow rises by atomizing the water of the reservoir.

The base generates first and second air flows through the respective first and second interior passages, and a water reservoir. As the second air passageway conveys the second air flow over the water in the reservoir, water stored in the reservoir is agitated. An ultraviolet radiation generator irradiates the agitated water for a period of time before water stored in the reservoir is atomized to increase the humidity of the second air flow.
