    • The present invention relates to an electromagnetic clutch for a compressor, comprising: a drive rotor which is connected linked in movement with a drive source and incorporates a coil; an armature which is disposed at one side surface of the drive rotor with a space in between, and which is attracted to the drive rotor and to which is transmitted the rotational force of the drive rotor by means of an electromagnetic force generated from the coil; a hub which is linked, via a drive shaft, to a driven source; and a leaf spring member which is linked to the armature and hub; wherein the leaf spring member is constituted as a single leaf spring consisting of a central part and a plurality of arm parts extending integrally from the central part, and wherein the leaf spring member comprises: a plurality of first arm parts which are fastened via rivets to the armature; and a plurality of second arm parts which are disposed between neighbouring first arm parts and extend as far as the vicinity of the end of the armature, and also wherein resilient members are interposed between the second arm parts and the central part adjacent to the second arm parts and the armature. When the electromagnetic clutch for a compressor according to the present invention is employed, an auxiliary rib is made to project from the resilient member, the thickness of the resilient member is formed so as to differ in the length direction, and an auxiliary resilient part is also provided so as to make side surface contact against the armature and resilient member, thereby producing the advantageous effect that it is possible to further reduce the noise and vibration which occur as the armature and the leaf spring member engage and separate from each other when the clutch is turned on and off.

    • According to the present invention, a power transmission apparatus for a compressor comprises: an outer hub which is connected to a pulley, and which has a central hole formed therethrough; an inner hub spaced apart from the central hole of the outer hub and connected to a driving shaft of the compressor; and a limiter which interconnects the outer hub and the inner hub, and which has a fracture part. When axial force is applied to the limiter in the lengthwise direction of the driving shaft and a torque exceeds a preset level with the operation of the compressor disabled, the fracture part is destructed to cut off the transmission of power. The power transmission apparatus of the present invention is advantageous in that a load is applied to the limiter in the direction of the driving shaft, and thus the fatigue strength of the power transmission apparatus of the present invention is superior to those of conventional structures in that a fatigue load is applied to limiters in the rotating direction of the driving shaft by means of a frequent variation of torque, and shearing force caused by rotation is mainly applied.
