摘要： A turn-lock fastener for the discharge hole at the bottom of a metallurgical vessel is characterised in that a discharge sleeve (3) with a slanted outlet channel (5) is set into the lower terminal section of a nose-ring block (1). A mirror-symmetrical sleeve (3a) to the discharge sleeve (3) has a complementary terminal surface (7a) which lies against the lower horizontal terminal surface (7) of the discharge sleeve (3). The sleeve (3a) is set into a spout (10) capable of rotating with respect to the fixed nose-ring block (1) about a vertical axis. In a determined position of rotation (open position) of the spout (10) the opposite openings of the outlet channels (5, 5a) in the sleeves (3, 3a) are aligned and in other positions of rotation (closing position) they are partially or completely separated from each other.

摘要： It was difficult until now to carry out intermediate repairs of monolithic refractory lining walls of steel casting and handling ladles when the slag area of the lining was worn before other areas. According to this new process for reconstructing the refractory lining in the upper area of the wall, repairs may be economically carried out in that the gap between the lower end of the template and the lining that projects under the area to be reconstructed is sealed by inflating a hose-like sealing body (7) and by deflating again the sealing body (7) before removing the template. This process is useful for steel casting and handling ladles and for similar metallurgical vessels.

摘要： In a process for producing a refractory composite material, the following components are mixed: 4-16 wt. % of silicon, 1-8 wt. % of aluminium, 5-20 wt. % of reactive alumina, 3-50 wt. % of carbon, the remainder corundum, which is partly or wholly replaced by at least one substance from the group consisting of chamotte, ZrO2, spinel, SiO2, SiC, mullite, chrome ore, MgO, zirconium mullite, and 2-5 wt. % aqueous solution of an organic binder and 1-4 wt. % water. The mixture is dried to pressing humidity, pressed to form blanks and heated in a nitrogen atmosphere to a temperature between 1200 and 1600 °C until a binding phase consisting of SiAlON is formed.

摘要： When the wall and bottom of a steel casting and handling ladle are provided at the same time with a refractory monolithic lining, the lining in the lower area of the wall is often damaged during intermediate repairs of the bottom. According to a new process, wall and bottom are lined one after the other. A hose-like inflatable sealing body is secured to the bottom part of the template (4) when beginning to introduce the casting mass in the wall area and is inflated so that it seals the template (4) up to the height that corresponds to the desired thickness of the bottom. As soon as the casting mass in the lower wall area is sufficiently set, the sealing body (2) is deflated and removed, then the refractory casting mass is introduced into the bottom area up to the desired height. This process is suitable for steel casting and handling ladles and for similar metallurgical vessels.

摘要： The invention relates to the fields of ceramics and metallurgy and pertains to a process for producing refractory materials based on a SiAION/C or SiAlON/SiC/C composite. The aim of the invention is to indicate a process that prevents increased porosity due to the reaction of the carbon with the oxide or nitride phases of the material. This is accomplished by the invention through a process for producing refractory materials characterized in that to produce a refractory material with SiAlON and carbon, a mixture containing silicon, aluminum, aluminum oxide and carbon is heated in a predominantly nitrogen-containing atmosphere in three stages up to a maximum temperature of 2200 DEG C and that to produce a refractory material with SiAlON/SiC and carbon, the mixture may contain silicon carbide as well and the mixture is heated in a predominantly nitrogen-containing atmosphere in two stages to a maximum temperature of 2200 DEG C.
