摘要： PURPOSE:To enable the continuous drilling of a tunnel having a deformed cross section except a circular shape by revolving side cutters around a center cutter along a guide frame having a similar figure to a planned drilling sectional form. CONSTITUTION:The driving force of a motor is transmitted to a large rotary table 3 via transmission shafts 33 and pin gears 32 and the table 3 is rotated around a center cutter shaft, rotating small rotary tables 7 and side cutter rotary shafts 41. Also, guide gears 42 are roatatingly moved along the inner peripheral face of a guide frame 5 causing the revolving tracks of the rotary shafts 41 to be along the peripheral face of the frame 5. A center cutter 2 is rotated in the direction opposite to side cutters 4 to drill the central circular portion of a working face. The side cutters 4 are revolved on nearly a square track along the frame 5 with respect to the center cutter 2 while rotating on their axes, to drill the portions between the center circular portion and square shaped portions of the cross section of a tunnel formed by the outer peripheral edge of the front face of a shield machine.

摘要： PURPOSE:To continuously drill a tunnel with the desired cross section shape by rotating a center cutter around a shaft and revolving side cutters around the same shaft as the center cutter with the locus corresponding to the desired drilling shape. CONSTITUTION:A shield machine is constituted of a shield machine main body 1, a center cutter 2, a large rotary table 3, a pair of side cutters, and guide frames 5 guiding the rotary shaft 41 of the cutter 4. The cutter 2 is connected to a center cutter motor 22 via a screw conveyor 21, the cutters 4 are connected to a side cutter motor 34 respectively. The table 3 is driven by the motor 34 and rotated around a center cutter shaft X, a small rotary table 7 and the shaft 41 are revolved around the shaft X. The cutter 2 drills at the center of the working face, the cutters 4 drill in a nearly square shape along the frame 5 while being rotated.

Further, a planetary cutter driving pinion 18a meshed with a planetary cutter driving gear 13 rotates, revolving on the periphery of the gear 13, and a planetary cutter 7 revolves through a rotary shaft by the revolution of the pinion 18a.

摘要： PURPOSE:To excavate a gateway of desired configuration by providing a rotor with a sliding member capable of sliding in the radial direction and a subcutter, the rotor having a main cutter mounted thereto, and also providing both a driving conversion mechanism for driving the sub-cutter and a slide control means. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 2 having the main cutter 3 of a shield main body 1 mounted thereto is provided with a sliding member 5 capable of sliding in the radial direction and a sub-cutter 4. A driving conversion mechanism C for converting rotation of the rotor 2 into that of the sub-cutter 4, and a control means for controlling actuation of the sliding member 5 are provided. The center portion of a working face i.e., the front face of excavation is excavated by driving of the main cutter 3, and during rotation of the main cutter 3 the outer peripheral portion of the center portion is excavated along the locus of revolution of the sub-cutter 4 by the actuation control means of the sliding member 5 and the driving conversion mechanism C. A tunnel of desired cross section is thus excavated.

The shaft 15 is properly operated by the action of a gear motor 24 to enable the distance from the center P1 of the wheel 2 to the center P3 of the cutter 22 to vary within a fixed range. Not only round but also desired cross sections of tunnels can thus be excavated continuously.
