摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-diameter heat resistant plastic optical fiber for illumination with which the moisture permeation to a core is prevented even at and under a high temp. and high humidity and a stable light quantity is maintained. SOLUTION: A water absorptive layer 3 is formed by longitudinally attaching or transversely winding a water absorptive tape 3a formed by holding a water absorptive material with two non-woven fabrics on the outer periphery of a heat resistant plastic optical fiber 10. As a result, even if the moisture permeates a resin layer 4, this moisture is absorbed by the water absorptive layer 3 and the permeation of the moisture to the fiber 10 is prevented. The fiber wound with the tape is coated thereon with the soft resin layer 4, by which the floating of the tape is held down by the resin layer 4 and the generation of a spacing is prevented even if the floating of the tape occurs when the fiber 10 is bent and, therefore, the bending characteristic is improved.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light guide body having excellent moisture permeation resistance under a high-humidity condition and excellent handling property by coating a juncture between an optical fiber and the light guide body with a metallic tape so as to seal this juncture. SOLUTION: A light guide body unit 1 is formed by coating the juncture between the plastic optical fiber 2 and the light guide body 3 connected to the plastic optical fiber 2 with the metallic tape 4 provided with a sealing width Ws from the juncture so as to seal the juncture. This metallic tape 4 includes a metallic thin film (for example, aluminum, lead, etc.) which is formed with an adhesive layer on its one surface or is coated with a resin (for example, soft vinyl, etc.) on its both surfaces and is formed with the adhesive layer on the one surface of this resin, etc. In such a case, the aluminum, lead, etc., are exemplified as the metallic thin film constituting the metallic tape 4 but the materials are not particularly limited and may be any metals which are relatively soft and inexpensive.

SOLUTION: This plastic optical fiber 1 for illumination is constituted by coating the outer periphery of a core 2 consisting of a silicone resin with a clad 3 consisting of a fluororesin to form a plastic optical fiber 4 and enclosing the outer periphery of the plastic optical fiber 4 with the metallic flexible pipe 5 (for example, made of copper). In such a case, the metallic flexible pipe 5 includes a simple structure and a complex and a coated body and is more preferably the simple structure in terms of moisture permeation resistance. The metallic flexible pipe 5 having the simple structure includes a parallel corrugated pipe, for example, having deflections (waves) in parallel or a spiral corrugated pipe, etc.

SOLUTION: The outer periphery of the plastic optical fiber 10 is provided with a water absorptive layer 4 and a corrugated resin tube 5 in this order. As a result, the corrugated resin tube 5 prevents the infiltration of steam and relieves slackening and tensioning by the corrugation shape thereof when the fiber 1 is bent at the time of using the fiber 1 in the ordinary environment and therefore, the smooth bending of the fiber is possible. When using the fiber 1 at and under a high temp. and high humidity, the steam permeated through the corrugated resin tube 5 is absorbed by the water absorptive layer 4 and, therefore, the moisture permeation to the core 2 and the clad 3 is prevented.

SOLUTION: The heat resistant plastic optical fiber 10 comprises a core 1 having a circular shape in the section which is a passage for light and a clad 2 which is disposed on the outer periphery and has the refractive index smaller than the refractive index of the core 1. The large-diameter heat resistant plastic optical fiber 30 for illumination comprises the heat resistant plastic optical fiber 10, the moisture-proof layer 20 which is disposed on the outer periphery of the fiber 10, prevents the moisture permeation to the core 1 and the clad 2 and consists of an electrolytic plating layer 4 and a vapor deposited metal layer 3 and a jacket 5 which is disposed on the outer periphery of the moisture-proof layer 20 and is used for protecting the core 1, the clad 2 and the moisture-proof layer 20 respectively. Then, even if the moisture permeates the jacket 5 at the time of use, the moisture is shut off by the platting layer 4 of the moisture-proof layer 20 before the moisture permeates the fiber 10 itself.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide large diameter heat resisting plastic optical fibers for lighting which prevent moisture vapor permeation into a core even at high temperatures and high humidities and maintain the stable light quantity. SOLUTION: A water-shielding layer is formed by longitudinally attaching and transversely winding a water-shielding tape 3a, which is laminated sequentially with a PVC sheet, metallic layer, PVC sheet and adhesive sheet, at the outer periphery of the heat resisting plastic optical fibers 10 with the adhesive layer inward side, and heat treating this to firmly bond respective PVC layers with each other. As a result, the water-shielding layer 3 cuts off humidity, preventing moisture vapor permeation into the fibers 10 even if moisture vapor permeates into a resin layer 4. By further applying a soft resin layer 4 thereon, the resin layer 4 suppresses lifting of the tape to prevent the gap occurrence, thereby improving the bending characteristic even if lifting of the tape occurs at the time of bending the fibers 10.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch capable of detecting external mechanical force in every directions therearound, by making up the switch of a center conductor, an outer conductor disposed so as to surround the center conductor with a fixed gap left between them and having a semi-circular or U-shaped cross section, and a jacket covering the center conductor and outer conductor. SOLUTION: In this cord switch, when an object is caught in a gap 4, a center conductor 1 and an outer conductor 2 make contact with, and electrically conduct to, each other. Electrical conduction can be detected by an existing device at a low cost. This cord switch is small in size and needs only a small mounting area. Because the outer conductor 2 is structured to cover the center conductor 1 substantially 180 deg., external force can be detected if it is exterted on the switch in any direction not limited to a specific direction. When the external force is released, the gap 4 returns to its initial state by the elasticity of a jacket 3. Because a planar part is provided on a part of the jacket 3, bonding/mounting of the switch 3 is easy using the planar part.

摘要： PURPOSE:To narrow the diameter of a shielded cable to reduce weight, and to improve the heat resistance and the radiation resistance thereof remarkably by forming a layer, which works as both of a shield and a jacket of a cable, of aluminum/polyimide tape obtained by laminating a polyimide layer on an aluminum layer. CONSTITUTION:The periphery of an insulating body (high polymer insulating layer: fluororesin) provided on a conductor 1 as a core of an insulator wire is coated with a shield and jacket to form a shielded cable. In this shielded cable, a layer working as both of a shield and a jacket is formed of aluminum/ polyimide tape 3, which is obtained by laminating a polyimide layer on an aluminum layer. The tape 3 having the excellent heat resistance and radiation resistance works as both of a shield and a jacket to narrow the diameter of a shielded cable and lighten it, and the heat resistance and the radiation resistance are improved remarkably. A drain wire 4 is used to facilitate the connecting work and the grounding work of wires, and the tape 3, which is obtained by unifying an aluminum layer as a conductor and a polyimide layer as an insulating material, is wound so that the aluminum surface is positioned in the drain wire side.
