    • Device and method for injecting solid material in particles, powder or granulated form, of varying grain size. The device comprises a tubular pipe (16) which can be applied on a lateral wall of a melting furnace (11) so as to dispose its exit end (16a) inside the volume of the melting furnace (1 1) and above the meniscus of the liquid metal (12).     • Method to monitor a casting element, for example a crystallizer (10) or an ingot mold (20), which can be used in continuous casting in a production plant for steel products, comprising at least an installation step in which each casting element (10, 20) is associated with a corresponding casting unit. The method comprises an operating step in which the casting element (10, 20) is used to produce the steel products by casting molten metal in the crystallizer (10), wherein the production of the steel products is controlled and supervised by electronic processing and control means (40). Memorization means (30), operatively connectable to the processing and control electronic means (40), are univocally and stably associated with each specific casting element (10, 20) before or during the installation step, and in which specific, identifying parameters are memorized before the casting element (10, 20) is used. The identifying parameters read by the electronic processing and control means (40) are used at least to automatically set predetermined functional process parameters at the beginning and/or during the operating step.

    • Crystallizer (10) comprising two crystallizer rollers (11, 12) disposed substantially parallel to each other to define a meniscus (18) of liquid steel arriving from a tundish (13).
