    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fluorine-containing polymer, by which the unstable terminal groups of the melt-processable fluorine-containing polymer and/or unstable bonds existing in the main chain of the polymer can efficiently be stabilized to prevent the discoloration of the polymer.
      SOLUTION: This method for producing the fluorine-containing polymer, comprising introducing a gas containing water and oxygen to the melt- processable fluorine-containing polymer and melt-kneading the mixture in a kneader, is characterized by setting the barrel temperature of a degassing portion to 150 to 300°C. Preferably, the degree of vacuum in the barrel of the degassing portion is 0.03 to 0.1 MPa.
