    • A method and system for conducting a group call between a source electronic device (116) and a plurality of destination electronic devices is disclosed. A packet characterized by a first coding technique and destined towards the plurality of destination electronic devices is received. The packet is processed to identify if at least one of the plurality destination electronic devices uses the first coding technique. The packet is then multiplied to form a plurality of packets. The plurality of packets is sent to the plurality of destination electronic devices using the first coding technique. Further, in case at least one of the plurality of destination devices uses a second coding technique, the packet is transcoded to the second coding technique. The transcoded packet is multiplied to form a plurality of transcoded packets. The plurality of transcoded packets are sent to the plurality of destination electronic devices using the second coding technique.

    • Improved pliable print rollers for high speed drink can printing machines increase the pliable roller life five- to ten-fold at comparable ink thickness and machine speed. The improved performance results from the selection of materials utilized including a combination of elastomers, and in some case an essentially oil-free composition, and an associated manufacturing process not previously utilized to create pliable print rollers for high speed drink can printing machines. In particular a particular embodiment, the composition includes a combination of elastomers (e.g., 75% polyisoprene and 25% polybutadiene), a filler (e.g., silica), a curing agent (e.g., peroxided), and other additives (e.g., pigment, antioxidant, antiozonant) with little or no oil added as a softener. An illustrative composition including 150 parts by weight contains 100 parts elastomer, 35 parts filler, 4 parts curing agent, and 11 parts other additives (i.e., zero parts oil softener).

    • A magnetic tie clip is provided, which includes a first component that is fastened with a button on a shirt and a second component which is fastened on a tie. The second component includes a magnet which is magnetically coupled with the first component in order to secure the tie to the shirt. The first component further includes a button fastener which attaches with the button, a magnetic member which is magnetically coupled with the second component, and a connector which flexibly connects the button fastener and the magnetic member. The connector may be set to a length which provides for flexible movement of the magnetic member relative to the button fastener, such that the tie is secured close to the shirt but is permitted to move as the wearer moves.

    • A brachial plexus simulator is disclosed. The brachial plexus simulator comprises a head, a spinal assembly, and a simulated brachial plexus. The head may be weighted to a biofidelic weight and may include a tilt sensor. The spinal assembly comprises a simulated spine mounted for extension. The simulated brachial plexus comprises a network of nerve tubing that is attached relative to the simulated spine at appropriate points so as to mimic the connectivity, shape, and compliance of the brachial plexus. The nerve tubing may be filled with a fluid material whose resistance or other electrical properties change with its length, such as mercury. Maternal and fetal birthing simulators are also disclosed.
