    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous body capable of adsorbing fine particles having various pore diameters and especially a lot of micropores, a gas cleaning material and methods for producing them.
      SOLUTION: The porous body for cleaning a gas having a different size of pores such as micropores, mesopores and macropores comprises a porous amorphous silica and secondary calcium phosphate generated on the surface of the amorphous silica. As the porous body has fine pores in the whole region of pore diameters and especially has a lot of fine pores comparing with hydroxyapatite, the porous body has high adsorbing performance and a high adsorbing rate and corresponds to the adsorption of various substances comparing with materials prominent in only a lot of specific pore sizes, such as zeolite, general-purpose activated carbon and silica gel produced from an alkali silicate.
