摘要： An endoprosthesis assembly adapted to be positioned within a body lumen includes a resilient, self-expanding anchor attached to a tubular graft. The endoprosthesis can be recaptured in a delivery device to enable repositioning or removal of the endoprosthesis at any time prior to complete deployment of the endoprosthesis in the patient. The delivery device includes an outer tubular member that carries the endoprosthesis in a radially contracted configuration and an elongate inner tubular member that extends through the prosthesis and beyond the distal end of the outer tubular member. A retainer is carried by the inner member that engages and retains the proximal end of the endoprosthesis relative to the inner member until the endoprosthesis is released. The inner member is formed from an alloy that has superelastic characteristics throughout the range of body temperatures to which it will be exposed to enhance the column strength and pushability of the device while providing a high level of longitudinal flexibility.

The handle has components movable and arranged to define at least three relative positions including (1) an implant capture position in which the sheath fully encloses and contains the implant, (2) an intermediate position in which the implant is partially deployed but in which the trailing end of the implant remains attached to the delivery device, and (3) a release position in which the implant has been freed from the delivery device and fully released within the blood vessel. The movable parts of the handle include a shifting mechanism that must be operated deliberately through a detent by the physician to enable the handle to be manipulated from one position to the other.

摘要： An endoprosthetic implant is formed from a plurality of separate individual components that are inserted sequentially and transluminally into a bifurcated vascular region with each component being deployed in sequence by a sequence of catheter-like deployment devices. The separate components are placed relative to each other to define a bifurcated endoprosthesis. In one embodiment the deployment device includes a tubular sheath for maintaining the radially expandable tubular implant in a contracted configuration and a gripping device including a cup and a gripping member that cooperate to define an annular space by which the trailing end of the implant can be securely held by the deployment device during positioning of the device.

摘要： A reduced pressure treatment system is provided that includes a canister that is fluidly connected to a tissue site and is configured to receive fluid drawn from the tissue site under the influence of a reduced pressure. A reduced pressure source provides the reduced pressure and is fluidly connected to the tissue site by a fluid communication path, which may include a source conduit, the canister, and a target conduit. A sensing device communicates with the source conduit and is configured to sense a pressure in the source conduit. A valve communicates with the source conduit and is configured to vent the reduced pressure. A processing unit communicates with the sensing device and the valve and is configured to open the valve for a selected amount of time, determine a decay of reduced pressure, and determine a fill status of the canister based on the decay of reduced pressure.
