    • A system and method for associating a controller and a device in a home network. The method includes using a master modem for: (a) registering unique information of a specific device when a controller requests a registration of the specific device; (b) receiving information including unique information of a household device from a slave modem using the home network; (c) determining whether the unique information of the household device exists on the registered information; (d) if it is determined that the unique information of the household device does not exist, requesting an exclusion of the household device requesting the association and excluding the household device from the home network association; and (e) if it is determined that the unique information of the household device exists, performing the home network association by transmitting the unique information of the household device, which is received from the slave modem, to the controller.

    • Provided are an apparatus and a method for detecting sentence boundaries. The apparatus includes a sentence boundary candidate extracting unit, a document context analyzing unit, a sentence boundary candidate classifying unit, a sentence generating unit. The sentence boundary candidate extracting unit extracts a sentence boundary candidate from an input document. The document context analyzing unit extracts features from information on preceding and following contexts of the sentence boundary candidate. The features are used in two or more statistical algorithms. The sentence boundary candidate classifying unit classifies whether the sentence boundary candidate is a sentence boundary or not, using the features and the two or more statistical algorithms. The sentence generating unit extracts sentence units from the document based on a result of the classification of whether the sentence boundary candidate is a sentence boundary or not.

    • An apparatus and method for efficiently constructing learning data required in statistical methodology used in information retrieval, information extraction, translation, natural language processing, etc. are provided. The method includes the steps of: generating learning models by performing machine learning with respect to learning data; attaching tags to a raw corpus automatically by using the generated learning models to thereby generate learning data candidates; calculating confidence scores of the generated learning data candidates, and then selecting a learning data candidate using the confidence scores; and allowing a user to correct an error in the selected learning data candidate through an interface and adding the error-corrected learning data candidate to the learning data, thereby adding new learning models incrementally.
