The device may include an elongated housing having a cylindrical portion. At least one illuminating body may provide illumination at the circumference of the cylindrical portion, and at least one light sensor may sense light that penetrated and was scattered from the tissue of the in vivo lumen. The device may include a barrier for preventing direct illumination from the illuminating body from reaching the light sensor and for decreasing the amount of direct light reflection from the outer surface of the in vivo lumen onto the light sensor.

摘要： In vivo devices, systems and methods for in vivo immunoassay include inserting into a patient's body lumen an in vivo diagnostic device comprising a housing. The housing of the device comprises a chamber, and a chromatography strip for immunoassay of a body lumen substance. The housing may further comprise a casing for the chromatography strip. The casing may comprise a first opening to allow entrance of in vivo liquids into the casing and a second opening into the chamber. The housing may further comprise a sensor to sense a property of the chromatography strip. Following insertion of the device into the patient's body, a sample is collected and the immunoassay is performed in vivo in areas of pathological lesions for a predetermined period of time. An in vivo image may be acquired or other data such as colorimetric or intensity data may be obtained from the chromatography strip.

摘要： A system and method for automatically navigating an in vivo imaging capsule in a body lumen. The system comprises an imaging capsule including an imager, optional pressure sensor for producing data of forces acting on the imaging capsule in vivo, and a transmitter to transmit image, positioning and pressure data from the capsule to an external unit. A positioning system for providing current position data of the capsule in vivo may be included in the capsule and/or external to it. External magnets may generate a magnetic field to scan a body lumen by causing a predetermined motion pattern of the imaging capsule within a region proximate to its current position, and generate a driving force to propel the imaging capsule according to a calculated target direction vector. A processor may calculate a target direction vector for propelling the imaging capsule based, on unique patterns identifiable in one or more images.
