摘要： A system and method are disclosed for the grinding of industrial minerals to fine powders. The system includes a grinding chamber having a generally vertically oriented agitator that is rotated to stir the grinding media intermixed with a feedstock. As the agitator stirs the grinding media and feedstock, there is a retaining plate that is also located within the grinding chamber and positioned atop of the grinding media to prevent the expansion of the grinding media when it is being stirred. The retaining plate has one or more openings to allow the finely ground feedstock to pass upwardly therethrough but to prevent any grinding media from passing through the retaining plate. Introduction of the feedstock may be through one or more hollow support rods that locate the retaining plate in the desired location within the grinding chamber. The support rods are locked into position when the retaining plate is properly located.

The device may include a foot element to engage the internal surface of the vessel on both sides of the opening. The foot element may provide a guide with a pathway for the closure element.

摘要： Methods and apparatus for characterizing composite materials for manufacturing quality assurance (QA), periodic inspection during the useful life, or for forensic analysis/material testing. System are provided that relate eddy-current sensor responses to the fiber layup of a composite structure, the presence of impact damage on a composite structure with or without a metal liner, volumetric stress within the composite, fiber tow density, and other NDE inspection requirements. Also provided are systems that determine electromagnetic material properties and material dimensions of composite materials from capacitive sensor inspection measurements. These properties are related to the presence of buried defects in non-conductive composite materials, moisture ingress, aging of the material due to service or environmental/thermal exposure, or changes in manufacturing quality.

The electronic data transmission server includes a data receiver for receiving a request for transmission of an e-mail attachment to a network terminal over a communications network. The e-mail attachment includes content and data defining the presentation of the content. A data processing system is in communication with the data receiver for converting the e-mail attachment into a less memory-intensive data format. The data processing system is configured to perform the conversion by extracting the content from the e-mail attachment without the presentation data. A data transmitter is in communication with the data processing system for transmitting the extracted content to the network terminal over the communications network without the presentation data.

摘要： A liquid smoke ink and a method of making the smoke ink is provided. The smoke ink may be applied to a substrate and dried. The substrate may be used as a food, primarily a meat, casing. Liquid smoke is made from a dehydrated liquid smoke, which is a solid smoke. The solid smoke is dissolved in a food grade solvent to create the smoke ink. The smoke ink is applied to a substrate wherein the solvent evaporates. This leaves the smoke flavor on the substrate in an, essentially, fixed position.

摘要： A method and system for blocking an incoming telephone call based upon at least one predetermined criterion. The system includes a security device having a user device for imputting a first control signal to block the incoming telephone call, and for inputting a second control signal for controlling at least one feature of the security system, at least one sensor for detecting an emergency event within a protected area. The sensor generates an alarm signal. The system further includes a control section for processing the first and second control signals. The control section generates a control signal based upon the first control signal. Based upon this control signal, a line seizure means opens or closes a connection between an incoming telephone line and a telephone device. The security system has continuous access to the incoming telephone line, even though the line can be isolated from the telephone device.
