    • A safety cord connector for a window blind includes a first half shell and a second half shell combined with the first half shell in such a way that a positioning protrusion extending from an inner surface of the second half shell is inserted into a positioning notch formed on an inner surface of the first half shell so as hold the first and second half shells together. When an external force exceeding the engaging force between the positioning protrusion and the positioning notch exerts between the first and second half shells, the positioning protrusion will separate away from the positioning notch to enable the combined first and second half shells to be split from each other so as to enhance safety in use.

    • A memory structure includes a substrate, a source region, a drain region, a gate insulating layer, a floating gate and a control gate. The substrate has a surface and a well extended from the surface to the interior of the substrate. The source region and the drain region are formed in the well and a channel region is formed between the source region and the drain region. The gate insulating layer is formed on the surface of the substrate between the source region and the drain region and covers the channel region.     • A blind slat structure having sealed openings and mimic wooden traces includes a plastic slat formed through injection molds with cavities formed on the surface and has a hollow interior and two ends each having an opening. Each of the two ends is inserted into a sealing slot of a fusion machine mold to be fused to become a wedge-shaped closed end so that the slat becomes a hollow body with two closed ends. The sealed slat is printed a number of times to form a printed layer on the surface mimic wooden traces. The slat thus formed has a lighter weight and is less likely to warp or deform. The mimic wooden traces on surface provide retrospective appeal.

    • An apparatus and method for manufacturing seamless tubes from hollow billets that will not contain metal oxide, which may be introduced into the extruded metal tube from an oxide layer formed on the inner surface of the hollow billets, so as to improve the quality of the extruded product and extend the service life of the extrusion piercer rod. A de-oxide latch, which has a substantially circular disk shape and is dimensioned such that it is slightly larger than the inner diameter of the hollow billet, is placed in front of the piercer rod so as to remove the metal oxide layer formed on the inner surface of the hollow billet through an upsetting shearing force ahead of the normal stress generated by the forward movement of the extrusion stem. The extrusion apparatus also utilizes a screw and pierce doughnut combination to securely affix the piercer rod to the stem and to effectuate the extrusion of the hollow billet through an extrusion die to form seamless tubes. This arrangement allows an easy interchange between a piercer rod, which is used for extruding hollow billets, and a ram, which is used for extruding a solid billet, so as to improve the versatility of the extrusion apparatus and reduce the manufacturing cost.
