摘要： A light channeling layer disposed adjacent to the bottom substrate of a transflective display to enhance the back-lighting efficiency. The transflective display has a transmissive area and a reflective area and the transmissive area has a transmission electrode. The light channeling layer comprises a plurality of light conduits, each of which is disposed behind a transmission electrode. The light conduit has a first aperture and a second aperture greater than the first aperture and the first aperture is positioned adjacent to the transmission electrode and a second aperture adjacent to the back substrate, so that light from a back-light source that enters into the light conduct through the second aperture is channeled to the transmission electrode through the first aperture.

摘要： A transflective liquid crystal display (LCD) panel including an active device array substrate having a plurality of pixel units, an opposite substrate having a plurality of cell-gap adjusting layers and a liquid crystal layer is provided. Each of the pixel units includes a transparent pixel electrode and a reflective pixel electrode. Each of the reflective pixel electrodes has at least one first slit at a boundary between a transmissive area and a reflective area, and the first slit is extended along the boundary. The cell-gap adjusting layers correspond to the reflective pixel electrodes, respectively. Edges of the cell-gap adjusting layers located near the boundary between the transmissive area and the reflective area are within the corresponding reflective pixel electrodes.

摘要： A transflective liquid crystal display (LCD) panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate. The second substrate has a common electrode layer facing the first substrate. The first substrate has a plurality of pixel units. Each of the pixel units has a plurality of protrusions, a first reflective layer, a bumping layer, a second reflective layer, and a transparent conductive layer. Each of the protrusions has a through hole exposing a portion of the first substrate. The first reflective layer is disposed on the protrusions but not on the exposed portions of the first substrate. The bumping layer is disposed on the first reflective layer and the second reflective layer is disposed on the bumping layer. The transparent conductive layer covers the portions of the first substrate exposed by the through holes.
