The bill of materials automatically generating processing program is used to generate a bill of materials of the corresponding electrical circuit design according to the bill of materials outline of the input electrical circuit design diagram, stock number grouping database, stock number ranking database, and a material choosing critical factor.

    • An electrical connector includes a housing having at least one through hole. A terminal pin is inserted into the through hole and includes an enlarged retention portion and an enlarged stabilizing portion spaced longitudinally of the pin from the enlarged retention portion. Both the retention portion and the stabilizing portion are located in the through hole and at least the enlarged retention portion is sized to establish an interference fit with the housing within the hole. The enlarged retention portion is located adjacent a mid-point of the through hole, and the enlarged stabilizing portion is located adjacent one end of the through hole.

    • A plug (10) is secured to an end of a first length of fiberoptic cable. A receptacle (14) is connected to an end of a second fiber topic cable. The receptacle component (14) includes a cylindrical sidewall (24) that includes an axial key slot (36). The plug (10) includes a shallow forward girth groove (50) that is immediately forwardly of a deeper rearward girth groove (52). A ring (32) is initially positioned with the deeper girth groove (52). A key (34) extends axially forwardly from ring (32). The ring (32) makes a loose fit in rearward girth groove (52) and a tight, interference fit with forward girth groove (50). Initially, with the ring (32) in the rearward girth groove (52), the plug (10) is moved into the socket (30) and the key (34) is started into key slot (36).

    • A first coupler part (12) is fastened to a wall (W) by a first pair of screw fasteners (32, 34). The screw fasteners (32, 34) have heads that bear against surface portions of the first coupler part (12) that immediately surround openings (28, 30) that receive the screw fasteners (32, 34). A second coupler part (14) is connectable to the surface (20) of first coupler part (20) that is directed away from the wall (W). When the second coupler part (14) is moved against the first coupler part (12), the heads of the screw fasteners (32, 34) enter into enlarged openings (68, 70) in the second coupler part (14). This allows the surface (48) of the second coupler part (14) to be moved against the surface (20) of the first coupler part (12). The second pair of fasteners (40, 42) are used to connect the second coupler part (14) to the first coupler part (12). Or, the second screw fasteners (40, 42) may extend through openings in the first coupler part and screw into openings in the wall (W). Either way, the second coupler part (14) can be quickly and easily detached from the first coupler part (12) by simply removing the two screws (40, 42). The second coupler part (14) can be thus removed for purpose of the pair or placement without disturbing the connection between an optical fiber cable (82) and the first coupler part (12).

    • The modular optical fiber connector includes a ferrule body with a ferrule attached to the front end and a buffer back post extending from the rear end. The ferrule body is permitted to move longitudinally relative to an insert which receives the ferrule and engages the front end of the ferrule body but is restrained against rotation. A coil spring is installed onto the buffer back post of the ferrule body, and engages a connector body that is utilized to internally hold the ferrule body, the insert and the coil spring. A connector nut is a hollow component that has a limiter on the interior wall. The ferrule body and insert in the connector body are inserted into one end of the connector nut and a fastening ring is inserted into the other end of the connector nut, and onto the connector body which is permitted to have longitudinal movement relative to the connector nut within a limited range.

    • A miniature DIN connector is provided for mounting to a circuit board. The miniature DIN connector comprises a molded nonconductive housing having a plurality of apertures therein for receiving electrically conductive terminals. The housing includes an array of channels for positively positioning the board contact portions extending from the terminals and preventing lateral movement thereof. An internal shield is mountable in the housing to substantially surround pin-receiving portions of the terminals. The housing is lockingly engageable with a base, which in turn is mountable to the circuit board. The base includes apertures through which the board contact portions of the terminals may be directed. An external shield is disposed around four sides of the miniature DIN connector and is groundable to the board. The internal and external shields are not connected to one another.

    • A fiber optic connector includes an electrical contact for connection with an electrical wire formed within a fiber optic cable. The connector includes a connector body, at least a portion of which is electrically conducting, and an optical fiber retaining body coupled to the connector body. The electrical wire from the cable is coupled to the electrically conducting connector body of the connector. An adapter assembly for coupling the fiber optic connector to any suitable device also includes an electrical conductor for coupling to an electrical application.
