摘要： Methods and systems for supplying data objects to users of a communication system are disclosed. In an exemplary method a session is established between a first and second communication device, and a primary data object providing first information pertaining to a user of the first communication device is transferred to the second communication device upon the occurrence of a triggering event at the first communication device. A request for a secondary data object is transferred from the second communication device to a data server, the request including the first information and further including information pertaining to the user of the second communication device. A secondary data object intended for rendering at the first and second communication devices is created and transferred to the first and second communication devices.

In response to the first data object, a response data object is received from the second communication device, the response data object comprising either more recent data associated with at least one of the contact entries indicated in the first data object, or a request for more recent data associated with at least one of the contact entries indicated in the first data object, or both.

In an exemplary method, an order message is received from a requesting device via a short-range wireless link, such as a near-field communications (NFC) link. A first digital object included in the order message is combined with a stored digital object to obtain a customer object; in one or more embodiments the first digital object, stored digital object, and customer object each comprise a digital image. The resulting customer object is stored, and resource locator information is sent to the requesting device. The resource locator information comprises a network address for use in retrieving the stored customer object.
