摘要： A nasal dilator for preventing outer wall tissue of nasal passages of a nose from drawing in during breathing. There is an arcuate spring member for bridging a human nose, the spring member extending over the bridge and at least partly beyond the bridge on both sides of the bridge. An arcuate pad with an adhesive surface covers the spring member and extends around the spring member so that there is a perimeter of space formed between the spring member and the pad member. The spring is inset centrally in the pad. An adhesive between the spring member and the pad wholly connects the spring member on its entire engaging surface with the pad. The pad may include a protrusion to facilitate centralizing the dilator on the nose in use and there can be several overlapping release liners to facilitate use of the dilator.

摘要： A method and a medicament for treating onychomycosis. The active ingredient is salicylic acid or a salt, ester or mixture thereof in a medicament, such as a plaster preparation or a liquid preparation, optionally with a retinoid compound such as tretinoin, adapalene, manoalide, retinol, tretinate or mixtures thereof. The method comprises topically administering the active ingredient to the afflicted nail. The medicament is applied without drilling holes in the nail or periodic scraping of the nail and in the absence of an imidazole antimycotic compound.

摘要： Vegetable oils or vegetable oil alkyds are emulsified in aqueous medium by means of a suitable emulsifying agent providing particles of oil or alkyd encapsulated in an oxygen permeable layer of emulsifying agent. The emulsified oil or alkyd particles are reduced to a predetermined size, and the emulsion is subjected to an oxygen-containing gas, preferably at elevated pressures, to effect autoxidation by cross-linking between olefin groups of unsaturated fatty acid moieties of the vegetable oils. Autoxidation is continued until the emulsified particles gel or nearly gel. When applied to a surface and exposed to air, the particles coalesce into a continuous film, and further oxidation and drying of the emulsion occurs.
