摘要： A snap-off surgical screw configured for threading into a bone of a patient using a driver member, comprising a shaft extension joined to a screw portion via a frangible connection. The frangible connection comprises at least one defect formed through an outer surface of the frangible connection. The defect is configured to promote selective separation of the shaft extension from the screw portion at the defect. A proximal end of the screw portion is preferably provided with a recess, and the frangible connection is preferably positioned in the recess to thereby configure the shaft extension to snap-off from the screw portion below the proximal end of the screw portion.

摘要： A bone plating system for fixating distal or proximal ends of long bones includes a bone plate having a head portion and a shaft portion, and a plurality of bone screws, at least one of which is a locking bone screw and at least one non-locking cancellous bone screw. The bone plate has a plurality of plate holes in the head portion and a plurality of plate holes in the shaft portion. The head portion or the shaft portion of the bone plate may have a plurality of threaded plate holes for engaging the at least one locking bone screw and at least one non-threaded plate hole for engaging the non-locking cancellous bone screw. The non-locking cancellous bone screw and the at least one non-threaded plate hole are configured and dimensioned to have a particularly useful dimensional relationship.

摘要： An outsole for a golf shoe includes a sole member having a plurality of pyramid-shaped protrusions and a plurality of spikes extend outwardly from the outer surface of the sole member to improve traction with the ground surface. The outsole also includes a plurality of longitudinally extending wear bars. Each of the wear bars extends outwardly from the outer surface of the sole member to a pair of ground engagement surfaces which are separated by a notch. The positions of the spikes and wear bars and the orientation of the wear bars are in part determined by bio-mechanical factors determined by the path of the center of pressure and the forces generated during the golfer's swing.

摘要： A cushioning system for golf shoe includes a footbed having a sole region, an arch region, and a heel region. The footbed includes an upper layer which is engaged by the foot of a golfer and a lower layer. The lower layer is composed of a compressible material and includes a recess in the heel region, a plurality of receptacles in the sole region, and a receptacle in the arch region. A lasting board has a heel region defining a receptacle disposed oppositely the recess of the footbed. The cushioning elements include a plurality of first cushioning elements and a single second cushioning element. The cushioning elements are composed of a material which is more compressible than the material of the lower layer of the footbed. One of the first cushioning elements is disposed in each of the receptacles of the sole and arch regions of the footbed. The second cushioning element has an upper part disposed in the recess of the heel region of the footbed and a lower part disposed in the receptacle of the heel region of the lasting board.
