    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an alkali activated carbon excellent in recovery efficiency and a grinding apparatus used in this method for grinding a lump-like mixture containing the alkali activated carbon.
      SOLUTION: After a carbonaceous substance and an alkali metal compound are heat-treated for activation, water is injected into the mixture containing alkali activated carbon which is aggregated into a lump by cooling in a vessel and the mixture ground by injecting water is collected. In this method for injecting water, use of a grinding apparatus equipped with a water injection chamber which has a structure for introducing an inert gas into its inside and discharging an exhaust gas and is capable of accommodating the vessel and a water injection device for injecting water into the lump-like mixture in the vessel is recommended.
