摘要： A surgical snare (2) is provided having an operating wire (4) and an outer sheath (6) having a lumen extending therethrough, wherein the operating wire (4) is disposed within the lumen and is longitudinally movable within the lumen. The surgical snare also has a first locking member attached to the operating wire and a second locking member (10) attached to the outer sheath. The first locking member is frictionally engageable with the second locking member (10) by sliding the outer sheath longitudinally along the operating wire until the first locking member contacts the second locking member. The operating wire is prevented from moving longitudinally with respect to the outer sheath when the first locking member is frictionally engaged with the second locking member.

摘要： A snare for deployment or retrieval of an implantable medical apparatus. The snare includes a shaft, and a tip distal of the shaft. The tip includes an extendable member capable of self-centering the implantable apparatus during a deployment or retrieval. The extendable member is selectively receivable in the tip, distally extendable from the tip, and rotatable relative to the tip. An activatable handle is engaged with the shaft. A wire has an end engaged with the handle and an end engaged with the tip. Upon activation, the wire is urged in a proximal direction, resulting in a flexure of the tip. An elongated mechanism has a proximal portion engaged with the handle, and a distal portion engaged with the tip extendable member. The elongated mechanism is configured for selectively controlling the receiving, deploying, and rotating of the extendable member.

摘要： A device (10) for adjusting a position of an elongated structure implanted in biological tissue to facilitate removal. An inner sleeve (60) is received in an outer sleeve (50), and movable relative thereto. A manipulator mechanism (80) is engaged with the inner sleeve distal end, and extends in a distal direction. The manipulator mechanism is arranged to capture the elongated structure, and to lock the elongated structure to the device upon relative movement of the sleeves. A handle (12) is engaged with the inner sleeve, and a plunger (30) is engaged with the outer sleeve. The plunger is engaged with the handle and movable relative thereto, wherein the outer sleeve advances distally relative to the inner sleeve to maneuver the manipulator mechanism to capture the implanted elongated structure. The position of the elongated structure may be controllably adjusted to facilitate removal thereof from the biological tissue.

摘要： A device (10) for adjusting a position of an elongated structure implanted in biological tissue to facilitate removal. An inner sleeve (60) is received in an outer sleeve (50), and movable relative thereto. A manipulator mechanism (80) is engaged with the inner sleeve distal end, and extends in a distal direction. The manipulator mechanism is arranged to capture the elongated structure, and to lock the elongated structure to the device upon relative movement of the sleeves.
