摘要： A process for making granular solids involving: (a) providing a substantially anhydrous preparation, which is solid at room temperature and contain at least one cosmetic feed material; (b) liquifying the substantially anhydrous preparation to form a melt; (c) providing a vibrating casting plate used for droplet formation; (d) introducing the melt onto the vibrating casting plate to form melt droplets thereon; (e) providing a cooling medium; and (f) contacting the melt droplets with the cooling medium which is passed countercurrently to the melt droplets, thus forming the granular solids, and wherein the granular solids have a monodisperse particle size distribution and are substantially free of particles having a diameter of less than 0.3 mm.

摘要： Granulado de material sólido con una distribución monodispersada de tamaños de grano, que puede obtenerse licuando una preparación sólida a temperatura ambiente, preponderantemente anhidra, de al menos una materia prima cosmética seleccionada del grupo de surfactantes no iónicos que se forma de alquil- y/o alqueniloligoglicósidos, Nalquilpoli-hidroxialquilamidas de ácido graso, éteres poliglicólicos de alcohol graso, éteres mixtos, ésteres alquilo alcoxilados de alcohol graso y poliolpoli-12-hidroxiestearatos, convirtiendo en gotas una corriente del material fundido con ayuda de una plancha de fundición por vibración e introduciendo un agente refrigerante en contravía de las gotas, lo cual hace que éstas se solidifiquen.

摘要： Isolation of sterols from residues of fatty acid (or Me ester) production comprises a first transesterification of the partial glycerides under mild conditions, followed by removal of by-products, and a second transesterification of the sterol esters under extreme conditions. Isolation of sterols from the residues of fatty acid or Me ester production comprises: (a) esterifying the free acids in the residue with a polyhydric or lower monohydric alcohol; (b) transesterifying the partial glycerides in the mixture with a lower alcohol at 90-145 degrees C and 2-10 bar for 2-20 minutes in presence of a basic catalyst; (c) distilling off the excess of the alcohol; (d) separating off the catalyst and the glycerol obtained; (e) distilling off the fatty acid alkyl ester; and (f) converting the sterol esters and residual partial glycerides in the sump to free sterols and fatty acid esters by a further transesterification at 115-145 degrees C and 2-10 bar for 4-8 hours.
