摘要： Clear effluent from an aerobic sewage treatment tank is directed into one end of an elongated conduit adapted to be buried in the ground with the tank. The conduit has a length of many hundred feet and is preferably wrapped in the form of a substantially horizontal spiral coil. The opposite end of the conduit is vented to atmosphere, and a flow of air is directed from a supply pump through the conduit over the surface of the effluent to effect evaporation of the effluent into the air stream and discharge of the vapor with the air into the atmosphere. The air is directed into the conduit in a plurality of separate streams located at longitudinally spaced intervals and after moisture is removed from the air within a pressure-condensing container. The conduit is preferably formed of a corrugated flexible tubing of plastics material and may be constructed in a plurality of stacked coil sections which are connected in series.

摘要： Water containing organic solid material is directed into one end of a shallow rectangular tank having a cover and a series of internal walls defining a series of longitudinally disposed treating chambers. The water is maintained within each chamber at a level slightly below the cover, and low pressure air is continuously injected from an air supply pump into each chamber to produce circulation of the water around a baffle member projecting downwardly from the cover and to cause diffusion of the air into the water for dissolving the solid material. Air supply and exhaust passages for each chamber are formed within the cover, and air is also directed in series through the chambers. The purest water within each chamber at the water surface, is directed into the water within the adjacent chamber below the surface to provide a series of successive aerobic treatments which result in producing a progressively purer water and a clear discharge effluent having a high percentage of dissolved oxygen.

摘要： Sewage water is directed into an enclosed generally circular shallow tank to expose a large surface area of the sewage water per unit volume. Air is circulated over the surface of the sewage water in a generally circular direction to effect horizontal circulation of the sewage water within the tank and diffusion of the air into the liquid. The water treated in the first aerobic tank is directed from a center outlet in the first tank into a similarly constructed second tank which also provides for horizontal circulation of the treated water and diffusion of the air in response to a generally circular flow of air. In one embodiment, the air flow within each tank is produced by connecting the air outlet of the tank to a chimney which projects upwardly adjacent the outer wall of the residence and creates a natural draft. In another embodiment, the horizontal air flow is produced by a plurality of circumferentially spaced air conduits which slope downwardly towards the surface of the sewage water and are connected to an air supply pump.
