    • PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and the response of circuit protective operation, by operating a circuitbreaker if a predetermined voltage is not established across a filter capacitor even upon elapse of predetermined time after application of line voltage. A protect detection circuit 20 provides an operation command signal E to a shortcircuit unit 10 if the voltage across the filter capacitor 7 reaches to a predetermined level prior to reception of the pulses G. If the voltage across the filter capacitor 7 has not reached to a predetermined level when the pulses G are received, the circuitbreaker 4 is operated.
