SOLUTION: In a tabular fuel cell of solid electrolyte alternatively a plural of stacking a power generation film 10 which includes an oxide agent pole film formed to one surface of a solid electrolyte film 11 and a fuel electrode film 13 formed to other surface of it and an interconnector 20 to pass oxide gas 1 toward an oxide agent gas outlet 32 from an oxide agent gas feeding inlet 31 between an oxide agent electrode film 12 of the power generation film 10 and the interconnector 20 and to pass fuel gas 2 toward an fuel gas outlet 34 from an fuel gas feeding inlet 33 between an fuel electrode film 13 of the power generation film 10 and the interconnector 20, thereby electrically and chemically reacting the oxide gas 1 and the fuel gas 2 in the power generation film 10 to perform the power generation, the length between the fuel gas feeding inlet 33 and the fuel gas outlet 34 is shorter than the length between the oxide agent gas feeding inlet 31 and the oxide gas outlet 32 to omit portions which has little to do with the power generation.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte fuel cell in the form of flat plate capable of preventing thermal distortion simply using a compact structure. SOLUTION: The solid electrolyte fuel cell in the form of a flat plate comprises power generating films 10 furnished with a plurality of dimples 14 having a hole at each top and with a plurality of communication holes to put the two surfaces in communication with each other, interconnectors 20 laminated alternately with power generating films 10 in such a way as contacting it and provided with holes 21 and 22 to be connected with the communication holes in each film 10, an oxidating gas supply means to supply oxidating gas 1 to the holes 21 in the upper stage interconnector 20 to be coupled with the communication holes in the films 10, and a fuel gas supplying means to supply the fuel gas 2 to the holes 22 in the lowermost interconnector 10 to be coupled with the holes in the dimple part 14 of each film 10.

This construction provides better sealing of gases even under large temperature differences and improved cell performances. Also, the use of finer particles near the surface of the solid electrolyte only is disclosed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To shorten working time, increase connection strength, and enhance reliability by electrically connecting an interconnector whose both surfaces are coated with an electrically connecting material with a power generating layer or an electrolyte layer. CONSTITUTION:A power generating layer 3 is fabricated by interposing a yettria stabilized zirconia solid electrolyte 6 between a fuel electrode 4 and an oxygen electrode 5, and has a projection and recess for a gas passage. The surface of an interconnector 2 made of a material such as LaSrCrO3 is quickly, uniformly coated with an electrically connecting material 7 in a screen printing process, and the projection of the power generating layer 3 is embedded in the connecting material 7 for connection. When the reaction temperature of a cell main body increases 1000 deg.C or higher, the connecting material 7 sinters, and the power generating layer is strongly connected to the interconnector to decrease electric resistance. Reliability to electrical connection of a cell is enhanced.

As the metal to be used, there are heat resistant metals or alloys of Cr, Si, Sm, Sc, W, Ti, Fe, Ni, Pt, Hf, Be, Mn, Mo, etc., and in the case a cermet is used for the supporting material, volume is changed and stress is caused since it is exposed to reducing atmosphere at the operation time and by contraries in the case of a metal, stress is not caused at all.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve sealing performance by providing support bars for gas seal on both end parts of a support layer forming a fuel passage and an oxidizing agent passage above and under a generating layer. CONSTITUTION:A fuel side support layer 10 is adhered to a generating layer 5, and support bars 15 are adhered to both ends of the support layer. An interconnector layer 9 is adhered thereon, and further an oxidizing agent side support layer 11 and support bars 15 are adhered, whereby a single cell 1 is formed. A module 12 is formed by laminating the single cells 1. The support bars 15 are present on respective both ends of the fuel side support layer 10 and the oxidizing agent side support layer 11, and prevent the entrance of oxidizing agent on the fuel side and the entrance of fuel gas on the oxidizing agent side. The width of the support bar 15 forms a seal surface, resulting in a significant increase in seal area, compared with conventional ones.
