摘要： In the production of sealing materials using a bitumen preparation comprising paraffin alongside bitumen for impregnation of open-pore flexible polyurethane foam, the bitumen preparation used is intended to have properties which are variable within wide limits, and to be suitable for impregnating substrates for the purpose of waterproofing without any diluent, and the impregnating process is intended to proceed at from about 50 to 90 degree C within a relatively short, technologically acceptable period, and the entire amount of the impregnating agent applied to the carrier is intended to be capable of remaining in the pores of the carrier. The properties of the impregnated polyurethane foam are intended to be better than those of known products. To this end, the bitumen preparation used also comprises linseed oil varnish, stearin, and also, where appropriate, polyisobutylene, spindle oil, silicone hydrophobicizers and stabilizers, in an amount such that the viscosity of the bitumen preparation, measured at 110degreeC using a tar viscometer, is not more than one fifth of the value, likewise measured at 110 degree C, for the bitumen alone.
