    • A valve has a valve body ( 12) including a main chamber (14) having a first port (16) and a second port (18), and a main poppet (20) disposed within the main chamber. The main poppet includes a first surface (28) forming a control chamber (30) within the main chamber. The valve has a first passage (40) communicating the control chamber with the first port, and a second passage (50) communicating the control chamber with the second port. The valve also includes a pilot valve (80) having a pilot poppet (82) for controlling fluid flow from the control chamber to the first port through a third passage (96), and to the second port through a fourth passage (102), respectively. The valve may further have a feedback spring (90) coupled between the main poppet and the pilot poppet to provide a force relative to a distance between the main poppet and the pilot poppet.

    • A hydraulic control system (24) for a work machine (10) is disclosed. The hydraulic control system has a source (26) of pressurized fluid and at least one actuator (20) having a first and a second chamber (58, 56). The hydraulic control system also has a first independent metering valve (36) disposed between the source and the first chamber, and a second independent metering valve (34) disposed between the reservoir and the second chamber. The first and second independent metering valves each have a valve element movable between a flow blocking and a flow passing position to facilitate movement of the at least one actuator. The hydraulic control system further has an accumulator (40) and a third independent metering valve (42) disposed between the source and the first independent metering valve. The third independent metering valve is configured to selectively communicate the accumulator with the first chamber to cushion movement of the at least one actuator.

    • A force feedback poppet valve (10) includes a valve body (12) having a main chamber (14), a first port (16) and a second port (18). The force feedback poppet valve further includes a main poppet (20) disposed within the main chamber and movable between an open position and a closed position to control fluid flow between the first port and the second port. The main poppet may further form a control chamber (30) within the main chamber. The force feedback poppet valve further includes a first passage (50) communicating the control chamber with the second port and a second passage (96) communicating the control chamber with the first port. The force feedback poppet valve further includes a pilot valve (80) having a pilot poppet (82) for controlling fluid flow between the control chamber and the first port through a second passage (96). The force feedback poppet valve further includes a pressure compensator (52) disposed within the main poppet, and fluidly connected to the second port via the first passage. The force feedback poppet valve further includes a first spring (90) coupled between the main poppet and the pilot poppet to provide a force proportional to a distance between the main poppet and the pilot poppet, and a second spring (92) coupled between the pressure compensator and the pilot poppet to provide a force proportional to a distance between the pressure compensator and the pilot poppet.
