    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eccentric crank variable compression ratio mechanism for an engine dynamically adjusting compression ratio to reduce exhaust emission while enabling effective operation of the engine under a certain range of condition as one of method for conforming to regulation of particulate matter discharged to environment which have been performed by an engine manufacturer.
      SOLUTION: This mechanism is a variable compression ratio mechanism for an internal combustion engine 10 including an engine block 23 and a crank shaft 26 and includes a plurality of eccentric disks constructed to support the crankshaft. Each of a plurality of the eccentric disks includes at least one cylinder part enclosed in an annular shape by the engine block. Also, the variable compression ratio mechanism includes at least one actuator constructed to rotate a plurality of the eccentric disks.
