摘要： PURPOSE:To attain a new function such as immediate reproduction of a recorded picture with a compact camera by providing a drive means for a recording medium and a battery supplying power to the drive means laterally toward an object. CONSTITUTION:A pulley 80 with a small diameter is fitted to a shaft 79 of a motor 14 driving a picture recording medium 12. A rotary shaft 83 is supported turnably to a bearing 84 and a pulley 82 with large diameter is fixed to the rotary shaft 83. A rotating base 85 has a pin formed integrally with the rotary shaft 83 and engaged with a hole 12a for rotation provided to the medium 12. Through the structure above, a power is supplied to the motor 14 controlled by a motor control circuit from a battery 93 and is driven at a prescribed speed. Then the rotary base 85, i.e., the pin 86 is driven by the pulley 80, a belt 81 and the pulley 82, the medium 12 is driven at a constant speed and a picture is recorded or reproduced by a magnetic head 11.

Then flashing is started by a flashing device attended with the end of clearing and a recording gate means 22 is made conductive for a prescribed time only after the end of flashing and a picture signal of the image pickup means 2 is read to record a still picture on a recording means 14. After the release operation member is operated, still picture is formed in the image pickup means 2 quickly and the lighting by the flashing device is executed in a very short time and shutter chance is not lost. Thus, the still picture recording with high picture quality is attained while offering power saving.

When a recording/reproducing changeover button is set at a reproduc ing side, the switch 95 is also connected to a PLB side, and the counter CO is reset, and also, the display apparatus. With the progress of the reproducing in an image, a down count at the U/DCO progresses, and the position of the reproducing part is displayed on the display device 65.

Its output is inputted to an FF11 through a comparator 9 and a rectifying circuit 10. Then, a reference pulse from a generator 12 and the output pulse of the FF11 are compared mutually by a differential amplifier 13. Its difference pulse is displayed on a part 16 through an integrator 14 and a servo amplifier 15.
