摘要： A printing head has a plurality of heater boards, each of which includes a shift register to which printing data and selection data for selecting preheating pulse signals are applied as inputs, a latch circuit for latching the printing data, a selection-data latch circuit for latching the selection data, a selection circuit for selecting any one of a plurality of preheating pulse signals inputted in accordance with the latched selection data, and a plurality of heating resistors driven by the printing data or preheating pulse signals. Correction data, obtained by a head correcting apparatus, for performing printing at an average density by correcting the characteristics of each heater board is stored in a memory of the printing head. A printing apparatus decides the selection data in accordance with the correction data and sets the selection data in the selection-data latch circuit.

The pressure adjustment chamber has at least one elastic transformation body having a changeable volume according to vapor pressure to adjust the vapor pressure in a container communicated thereto and a support for supporting the elastic transformation body to the container. In the pressure adjustment chamber, the elastic transformation body includes an approximately circular opening and two surfaces (10a) approximately flat before transformation at an outer circumference, in which the two surfaces have a shape extended through a curved portion (10b) at a front end opposite to the opening.

摘要： An ink jet head for discharging ink comprises a plurality of elemental substrates having a plurality of discharge energy generating elements arranged in line for discharging ink, a grooved member having a plurality of walls joined with the plurality of elemental substrates arranged to constitute ink paths for each of the discharge energy generating elements, these ink paths being formed by joining the walls of the grooved member under pressure with the plurality of elemental substrates thus arranged, and among the plurality of walls, a plurality of ribs formed on the bottom of each wall arranged on each boundary between elemental substrates, and configured along this boundary line to abut upon each of different elemental substrates, respectively. In this way, any gaps and steps existing between the elemental substrates are sealed by the ribs formed for the walls of the grooved member when this member is joined with the elemental substrates under pressure, thus preventing any ink leakage from such gaps or steps, and also, suppressing the pressure wave cross talk between ink paths in order to perform recording in good condition.

摘要： A liquid jet recording head comprises a first substrate having a plurality of discharge energy generating devices formed thereon, and a second substrate having a discharge opening plate provided with a plurality of discharge openings for discharging ink, and recessed portions becoming ink flow paths conductively connected with said discharge openings, and a common liquid chamber for retaining ink to be supplied to each of said discharge openings, respectively. The ink flow paths and common liquid chamber are formed by joining the first substrate and second substrate with the discharge energy generating devices of the first substrate facing the recessed portions becoming ink flow paths of the second substrate, at the same time, the joint between the first substrate and second substrate being sealed by sealing compound, and fine grains inclusively residing on the joint between the first substrate and second substrate. With the liquid jet recording head thus structured, there is no possibility that sealing compound flows into the ink flow paths and discharge openings even if the joint between the first and second substrates are sealed by sealing compound, and that any defective prints take place. The production yield in the sealing step of manufacture is increased, at the same time, the controlling burden is lightened.
