摘要： A kayak carrier for a vehicle that can be adjusted to fit various sizes and shapes of kayak, and is adjustable in hight in reference to the ground by means of changing the angle of the rack in relation to the vehicle. The angle adjustments allows for ease of kayak installation in the rack as well as allow the vehicle to pass under low overhead clearance areas that would not be possible with a conventional roof mounted kayak rack The kayak carrier can support from 1 to 4 kayaks. The adjustable vehicle mounted kayak carrier/rack is hard mounted to the rear of a vehicle by means of a standardized trailer hitch system. The rack is intended to be collapsable to allow for storage or to remain as a compact device on the rear of the vehicle. The kayak rack uses ring type retention devices to secure the ends of the kayak. The kayaks are secured rack via rope or chain or straps or elastic cord or appropriately shaped metal retaining ring.
