摘要： The invention comprises disiloxanes having the general formula: where R is an alkyl group of 2 to 12 carbon atoms and R1 is an alkyl group of 3 to 13 carbon atoms, each R and each R1 being the same or different. They are prepared by reacting one mole of RSiCl3 with two moles of R 1OH, and reacting two moles of the resulting RSi Cl(OR 1)2 with one mole of water in the presence of an acid acceptor such as a -picoline or pyridine. The following disiloxanes are specified. 1,3-dipentyl-1, 1, 3, 3-tetra-(2-ethyl butoxy)- and the 1, 3-diethyl-1, 1, 3, 3 tetra-(2 ethylhexoxy)-,-(2 ethyl-butoxy)-, -(2,2 dimethylpentoxy)-and-(2-octoxy) -disiloxanes. Also mentioned for comparison are 1, 3 dimethyl-1, 1, 3, 3-tetra (2, 2 dimethylpentoxy)-and tetra- (2 octoxy)-and 1, 1, 3, 3-tetramethyl-1, 3-di (1-decoxy)-disiloxanes, and hexa (2, 2-dimethyl butoxy)- and hexa (2-octoxy) disiloxanes. Uses: Hydraulic fluids and lubricants.
