    • An elevator system (20) includes a cab (22) supported for movement within a hoistway. A tension device (44) remains close to one end (26) of the hoistway. The tension device (44) maintains a desired tension on a load bearing member (30) that supports a weight of the cab (22) and moves to achieve a desired placement of the cab within the hoistway. The load bearing member (30) extends from the first end of the hoistway toward the cab, wraps at least partially around a first sheave (36) supported for movement with the cab, extends from the first sheave (36) toward the first end (24) of the hoistway, wraps at least partially around a second sheave (38) supported near the first end of the hoistway, extends from the second sheave toward a second end (26) of the hoistway, wraps at least partially about a third sheave (40) supported near the second end of the hoistway, extends toward the cab from the third sheave, wraps at least partially around a fourth sheave (42) supported for movement with the cab, and extends from the fourth sheave toward the second end of the hoistway where it is secured to the tension device (44).

A first hoistway sheave (38) is located near a first end of the hoistway, and a second hoistway sheave (40) is located near a second end of the hoistway.     • A cleaning device includes a cartridge assembly, a hose/tubing, a nozzle, and an activator. The cartridge assembly includes at least one cartridge configured to hold a liquid solution. An attachment device is coupled to the cartridge assembly and is configured to secure the position of the cartridge assembly to a user's arm adjacent the hand. A pump is located within the cleaning device and is located between cartridge and the nozzle, such that pump regulates dispensing of the liquid solution. The nozzle is in communication with the pump and acts as a diffuser to adjust the stream of the liquid solution passed through the hose from pump. The activator is in communication with the pump such that operation of the activator selectively releases a volume of the liquid solution from the cartridge so as to pass through the nozzle. A control unit and interface are permitted.

    • The present invention provides novel serum-free cell culture medium and methods for cultivating MDCK cells. In particular, non-tumorigenic MDCK cells. The present invention also provides methods for producing influenza viruses (e.g., particularly cold-adapted, and/or temperature sensitive, and/or attenuated influenza viruses) that eliminate the need for a cell culture medium exchange step. The novel medium and methods are useful to grow influenza viruses, in cell culture to high titer. The present invention further provides purification methods for purifying influenza viruses with high overall recovery of live virus and result in levels of host cell DNA (HCD), host cell protein (HCP) and non-specific endonuclease (e.g., Benzonase), which are below the specifications required by regulatory agencies. The immunogenic compositions can be used to actively immunize subjects or to generate antibodies for a variety of uses, including passive immunization and diagnostic immunoassays.

    • A collapsible portable structure which may provide a play environment for children has side walling defining an upright corner region with a free side edge and a canopy which straddles the corner region. The canopy may provide a roof-like cover or at least a partial enclosure. The side walling is formed by at least one continuous loop of a flexible coilable rod supporting a flexible fabric panel.
