摘要： A catheter for implantation into a patient having a catheter tube having a distal end, a means for trimming the distal end of the catheter tube after subcutaneous insertion of the tip of the catheter lumen into a desired position within the patient to form a trimmed end portion, and a means for selectively positioning each respective lumen of the trimmed end portion of the catheter tube into fluid communication with the respective first end of one attachment tube. The attachment tube is select fluid communication with a desired medical device. Additionally, a repair kit and method of repairing a damaged catheter in which a fluid-tight connection is created between an existing implanted catheter and a replacement tubing.

摘要： Devices and methods for obtaining high flow rates in a port catheter system, and devices and methods for using a high flow rate port catheter system are disclosed. In one embodiment, a reservoir is dedicated for aspiration and a separate reservoir is dedicated for infusion. Fluid flow channels associated with aspiration are larger than the fluid flow channels associated with infusion. The catheter connected to the port can have an offset tip configuration. Methods for accessing the port are also disclosed.

An infusion of fluid or an audio emitting element can be used to generate the audio signal at the catheter tip.

摘要： A catheter assembly and method of using the catheter assembly is provided herein. The catheter assembly has a catheter shaft having an elongated body extending about a longitudinal axis, a proximal portion and a distal portion, an outer surface, and at least one lumen extending therethrough the elongated body at least one means for sealing at least a portion of the lumen of the bronchial vessel. At least a portion of the catheter assembly is configured for insertion into at least a portion of a bronchial vessel of a target lung region. The means for sealing is moveable between a collapsed state and an expanded state. At least a portion of the vessel can be sealed by inflating the means for sealing. The catheter assembly can then be used to infuse a dialysate solution into the target lung region.

摘要： A central venous catheter is provided having an outer tubular member and an inner tubular member that are preferably formed as a single integrated tube containing polymer material of different durometer and varying amounts of radiopaque filler material. The polymer durometer of the inner tubular member is higher than the polymer durometer of the outer tubular member. The percentage by weight of the filler material contained in the inner tubular member is higher than that of the outer tubular member. The combination of the higher durometer inner tubular member and the lower durometer outer tubular member along the length of the tube provides the desired tensile strength, hardness, chemical resistance and fatigue resistance and at the same time provides the desired flexibility and radiopacity.
